Greetings Tigers!
We are excited to invite you to join TRiO Student Support Services (SSS)!  This program is designed to provide support for first-generation, income-restricted and/or disabled scholars in an effort to assist in assuring the increase of retention, persistence and graduation rates. SSS is committed to providing a strong foundation that will promote student achievement and success through a network of academic, social, and financial support. The mission is to provide quality instructional programs and services that enhance student academic performance.

There’s an old cliché that states, “Success is in the eyes of the beholder.” With that being said, in an effort to increase the retention, persistence and graduation rates of underrepresented students at “THEE I LOVE”, your participation and commitment is essential. We encourage you to take advantage of all services and opportunities for growth and development provided by SSS. What is TRiO Student Support Services (SSS)?

A federal grant program authorized by U.S. Department of Education which provides support for first generation, income-restricted, and/or disabled scholars in an effort to increase participants’ persistence from one year to the next. SSS ultimately aims to provide a holistic and supportive environment designed to enhance student success resulting in graduation and aspirations to attend graduate school and/or obtain a career.

Eligibility is based on federally-funded criteria:
1. Income-Restricted (Low-income levels are determined according to federal guidelines)
2. First-generation college student (Neither parent completed a 4-year college degree)
3. Have a verified disability Services
