Psychometric Services identifies with the mission of the university and state and national testing companies (MSPB, ACT, AMP, ETS, LSAC, PC, and PES) in providing the best testing services for the university and its constituents. The department administers tests to more than 5,000 students per academic year. Based on the National Test Center Review Report and local surveys the level of customer satisfaction is above 87 percent. This office and staff are members of the National College Testing Association (NCTA), which adheres to the guidelines for current test administration services, test development, test scoring, and assessment.

Psychometric Services at Jackson State University provides test administration services to students, faculty, staff and the community. This office is responsible for the university local and national examinations, surveys, and computer-based testing for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

ADDITIONAL SERVICES/PROGRAMS
In addition to test administrations, pre/post test counseling, test scoring (NCS Opscan7), test score reporting, and data analysis services are offered on site. To register for the following exams and/or request test preparation material for examinations including ACT (College entrance), PRAXIS (Teachers), GRE (College exit/entrance to graduate school), GMAT (College exit/entrance to graduate school), LSAT (Law school), and UEPE (Requirement for graduation/exit exam/writing ability); and GECE (First year graduate requirement/writing ability). The CLEP program is a credit-by-exam program, which offers students credits for courses if they pass the exam.
