The Student Health Center is offering
the Men's Health Clinic for you to help you improve your health
and mind. The SHC doctors and nurses can provide a health evaluation,
testing, and counseling.
The Men's Health Clinic provides preventive
medical care through medical services, health education, and promotion
of healthy lifestyles.
The men's Health Clinic is open to all full
time students. Charges for any medication will be assessed to the
students fee sheet.
Appointments can be made by telephone or in
person and should be made prior to Wednesday. The date of availability
will be given
to you.
The clinic is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner, Physician and
the University Nursing Staff.

The suicide rate among men is increasing.
The rate has doubled among 15-24 year old men relative to the general
population within the past 50 years.

The majority of men are overweight: 39.1% of men are either overweight
of obese according to the Body Mass Index; whereas, only 14.1%
of females are either overweight or obese.

Prostate cancer is the number one cancer affecting men in the
United States.
